The Cleveland Guardians have officially turned the corner.
They’ve won 19 games since their awful June, and that includes a 5-1 start to August.
That’s why Carlos Baerga wants fans to keep the faith.
The franchise legend admitted that he wasn’t very optimistic at one point, but he’s now back on the bandwagon.
“We’re gonna lose a couple games, it’s gonna happen. But I think we are looking better. I have to say the truth: When we lost 10 games in a row, I said I don’t think we’re gonna get up,” Baerga said.

Things looked very grim in June.
It wasn’t just that the Guardians were losing game after game, but they weren’t even competitive.
They couldn’t get anything going at the plate, and they had the worst offense in baseball during that 10-game losing streak.
However, the MLB season is a long grind. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
It’s never about how you start but about how you finish, and this season is no exception.
The Guardians never stopped fighting.
They refused to surrender and kept grinding even when things weren’t going their way.
Now, they’re back in the mix for an AL playoff berth.
Of course, like Baerga said, it’s not realistic to believe they’re going to win every game they play until the end of the season. There will be some bumps in the road.
Yet, this team has shown it might be down, but it is never out.
