The Cleveland Guardians have navigated a season filled with roster turnover and trade deadline moves while sitting just above .500 with playoff hopes still alive.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the team’s direction, one familiar voice has remained steadfast in his belief that Cleveland’s best days lie ahead.
Analyst “Always Positive J,” producer of the Carlos Baerga Show, has doubled down on his confidence in the Guardians’ approach.
His optimism stems from viewing this season through a different lens than most fans and critics.
“The reason I’m never worried is this team wasn’t built to come out of the gates good. It’s built to slowly get better. Young team, and now we’re getting to the soft part of the schedule, and we just need these young players to keep getting better. If all these guys can get better, [and] you get Jose and Kwan hot in the playoffs, anything is possible. You just gotta get there first, though,” APJ said.
"If you get Jose and Kwan hot in the playoffs, anything is possible." #GuardsBall@alwayspositivej just needs this team to get to the finish line.

The Guardians committed to their youth movement after trading away Shane Bieber and Paul Sewald.
Players like Kyle Manzardo, Brayan Rocchio, and C.J. Kayfus have stepped into bigger roles with encouraging results.
Jose Ramirez continues anchoring the offense, while Steven Kwan has provided steady production with his .281 batting average and elite defense.
His recent outfield assist against the Twins showcased the type of impact plays Cleveland needs from its core players.
The schedule has also worked in their favor recently.
A string of games against struggling opponents has given the Guardians chances to build momentum.
Manager Stephen Vogt has praised the team’s resilience through all the changes.
For APJ, the formula remains simple.
Player development, proper timing, and unwavering belief will determine whether Cleveland can make noise in the postseason.
