The Cleveland Guardians may not have a lot of fully developed and impactful offensive talent on the roster right now, but there is a guy who has been producing like an All-Star for the better part of the last 10 years.
His name is Jose Ramirez, so there is a chance you might know who he is.
J-Ram has set his sights on impacting every game, and he has the tools to do so in many ways: with his contact, power, legs, defense, arm, smarts, quiet leadership, you name it.
He has become, over the years, one of MLB’s premier power-speed guys.
The numbers don’t lie, as always, and they tell us that Ramirez joined an exciting club in baseball history reserved for those who have game-changing power and amazing speed, and basestealing instincts.
“Per the Guardians, José Ramírez just became the 17th player in MLB history with 275+ homers and 275+ steals. First primary third baseman (min 50 percent of games at position) and the second switch hitter (along with Carlos Beltrán),” Guardians insider Tim Stebbins posted on X.

Ramirez stole the 275th base of his career on Friday night, giving him entry to a club that has only 17 players.
Remarkably, he has 276 homers, for those who love balanced lines.
There is a very good chance Ramirez enters the 300-300 club next year.
He has done this without sacrificing contact (career .280 batting average entering Friday’s contest) or defensive ability.
No primary third baseman has done what he has done, so he is redefining how the position is looked at in terms of offensive ability.
Ramirez is well on his way to a Hall of Fame career, and we love to see it.
