The Cleveland Guardians have one of the best players in the world.
Unfortunately, they haven’t done right by him, at least on the field.
Jose Ramirez continues to dominate and shine almost every single night he’s out there, but that hasn’t translated into a World Series pennant.
Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean he’s not fully committed to the organization or that he wants to leave.
If anything, that has only fueled his fire and his competitive desire to bring a championship to Ohio.
At least, that’s what he’s told Carlos Baerga.
In the latest edition of his show, the former Guardians star revealed that he’s had some deep conversations with the All-Star infielder.
He’s told him about his desire to stay and win with this team:
“Jose was saying hi to everybody, joking with everybody. It’s hard, man. I know that Jose is a gamer. Jose wants to win. Jose has been telling me, ‘Carlos, I want to win. I want to stay here,'” Baerga said.

Ramirez is having one of the best seasons of his career, which is clearly a lot to say for a player of his caliber.
He could’ve and should’ve been an MVP candidate, but other big-name stars from big markets like Aaron Judge usually drive most of the attention.
Even so, he’s perhaps the most consistent player in all of baseball; you always know what you’re going to get from him.
Ramirez has emerged as the best player in his position, and if he were to be made available, there would be no shortage of teams trying to get him.
Fortunately, the Guardians have drawn a line in the sand, and they’re not going to send him anywhere.
