The Cleveland Guardians could use some help in the middle of the lineup and in the outfield.
Fortunately for them, the answer to their prayers might be right in front of their eyes.
Star prospect C.J. Kayfus has been an absolute killer in Triple-A this season, and he could be ready to take the next step.
With that in mind, Louis Analysis of Statline Scout took to X to show how dominant he’s been in his 58 appearances for the Columbus Clippers.
So far, he’s posted a .307 batting average with a .399 OBP, .956 OPS, 15 doubles, eight triples, and 13 home runs.
His bat-to-ball metrics have also been outstanding, posting an 86.8% Z-Contact percentage, a 13.1% SwStr percentage, a 30.6% chase percentage, and a 46.2% O-Contact percentage.

Kayfus keeps turning heads and making a name for himself in the minors.
He wasn’t as highly touted as the likes of Travis Bazzana or Chase DeLauter before the start of the season, but, ironically, he might be the first to get the nod.
DeLauter has also been quite impressive when he’s been on the field, but he’s dealing with yet another injury, so the team might want to err on the side of caution and not call him up at all this season.
As for Bazzana, an injury may have also derailed a promising campaign, so chances are that we’ll have to wait until next season to watch him in the minors.
Kayfus, on the other hand, has done more than enough to get an opportunity to showcase his skills at the next level.
