The Cleveland Guardians entered this season with high hopes and expectations.
They were fresh off a trip to the ALCS and looked poised for another strong campaign.
Of course, there were some concerns about their offense and whether they had enough firepower to get by.
Fast forward to today, and it seems like those who were worried about that were right all along.
The Guardians got off to a strong start to the season but fell from grace in June.
That’s even more evident thanks to some stats shared by Just Baseball on X.
The Guardians have been shut out eight times since June 1, and to make things worse, they now rank in the bottom five in runs, AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS and wRC+.

The Guardians don’t have much offense at all right now, and that’s going to be a major concern for as long as they don’t make the moves they need to get back on track.
Unfortunately, with the trade deadline looming, the front office will most likely take another route and move on from some of the veterans, as opposed to bringing in more talent.
The Guardians can also look at their farm system and perhaps give Chase DeLauter or C.J. Kayfus a call-up and an opportunity to prove their worth.
But even if that is the case, it will be hard to trust that two rookies can lead this team back to success.
